SAINT ANDREW was born in early first century. The Gospel of John teaches that Andrew was a disciple of John the Baptist. He was a Christian Apostle and the brother of Peter . He is said to have been martyred by crufixion. He is the patron saint of Army Rangers, mariners, fishermen, fishmongers, ropemakers, singers, golfers and performers. His feast day is celebrated on November 30.
