Saint Benedict was the son of Roman noble in Nursia. He became a hermit at a young age. He had done miracles, and many people who were attracted by his sanctity and character, came to be under his guidance. For them , he built monasteries and founded a Congregation, now known as the Order of Saint Benedict. He died while standing in praying to God. according to the tradition. He is known as the patron saint of Europe and students. Feast Day : July 11
