Dymphna [also known as Dympna, Dimpna] was born in Ireland. She was the daughter of a pagan Irish chief and his Christian wife in the 7th century. She was martyred by her father. She is especially invoked for sleepwalking, mental health, epilepsy, possessed people, princesses, and family happiness. Her feast day is celebrated on May 15.
