MARIA GORETTI was born on October 16 in Italy. She is an Italian virgin - martyr and one of the youngest saints. She was martyred after dying from multiple stab wounds, inflicted by her attempted rapist after she refused him because of love of Jesus. She is the patron saint of crime victims, teenage girls, and modern youth. Her feast day is July 6.
