SAINT SEBASTIAN was a saint and martyr. He is commonly depicted in art and literature tied to a post and shot with arrows. His aura was said to have cured a woman of her muteness, and that the miracle instantly converted seventy eight persons. He is the patron saint of soldiers, plagues, arrows and athletes. His feast day is January 20.
